Lean concept has been transforming the processes, practices and culture in Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry at Global as well as Indian levels. In India, this concept has been adopted by leading players in AEC industry and steps are being taken to mainstream the Lean philosophy across the construction supply chain. To popularize the concept of Lean Construction in India we had made a beginning with ILCC 2015 held in Mumbai in 2015. Further to this ILCC 2017, ILCC 2019 and the international conference IGLC 2018 and LIPS 2019 (Lean in Public Sector) were organized.

The main objective of the ILCC 2021 Conference is to provide a common platform where Lean Construction practitioners – owners, architects, designers, contractors, consultants, coaches, academics and various practitioners- can share their experiences and go further on the path of successfully applying Lean concepts to construction and related industries. The conference will comprise international and Indian keynote and invited presentations, academic paper presentations, industrial case studies as well as poster presentations on Lean principles across Planning, Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Operation. A Pre-construction workshop will focus on practical implementation aspects with sessions from international and national lean coaches. Along with this, an Industry Day is organized for the construction industry professionals to appreciate the power of Lean philosophy with stimulating discussions and case studies of construction projects which had used the Lean concept, as well as showcasing lean-based technology applications.
